Welcome to Peoria Area Al-Anon Family Groups

Part of the Illinois Southern Area: District 20

If you’ve been affected by someone else’s drinking we are here for you, Our district is located in the Peoria Area. We have meetings in Peoria, Pekin, Chillicothe, Canton, and Macomb. We welcome you to join us as we share our experience, strength and hope while learning to live with our common problem.

Some of us are here because a spouse or partner has struggled with alcoholism. For others, the problem drinker is a parent, child, or grandchild. Sometimes a brother, a sister, or some other friend or relative brings us to Al-Anon. Many of us have had more than one alcoholic family member or friend.

Al‑Anon is a mutual support program for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking.  Members help each other by practicing the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous themselves, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic. Our groups all have the same purpose – to help friends and families of alcoholics.

Are you a newcomer? Is Al-Anon right for me? This quiz may help you decide.
